KNOWLEDGE BOWL
Local high school teams compete in this spirited, interactive event. A Camarillo branch signature activity, we coordinate the action, ask the questions, and moderate as judges. It’s always exciting! Which dynamic team will win?!?

TECH TREK
Girls entering 8th grade attend a week-long summer camp in science, technology, and math at UCSB. They share hands-on experiences in core classes, rotating labs, and field trips. They’re challenged to “Be all they can be!” See photos from past years of Tech Trek.

WOMEN IN HISTORY

We dramatize remarkable women—from Queen Elizabeth to Sally Ride—for local elementary and middle school students. Teachers love us. We coordinate the costumes. write the scripts. We are the women!

SCHOLARSHIPS
Help courageous women who want to go back to college. We offer re-entry scholarships for women returning to school as well as for college women seeking leadership skills. We raise money throughout the year in support of our mission—to provide equity in education for women and girls.

FUNDRAISING
Contributions from the community support our AAUW Mission. Money received goes directly to scholarships for university women and Tech Trek girls. The Authors’ Luncheon, Election Polls, Holiday Swags, and other unique events are opportunities to earn money.

INTEREST GROUPS
From the ridiculous to the sublime, our AAUW branch has a group for you: world policy discussions, book clubs, games, dining, cultural events, and more. Can’t find your interest? Just make it happen and others will join!

IT’S MY VOTE; I WILL BE HEARD
AAUW members vote. But not every woman does. CSUCI millennium age students are our target. We’ll present the issues, help register voters, speak to classes, work with the faculty, and do what we can to get out the vote!
